StoveMate Mortar

StoveMate Mortar at IGS Industries

StoveMate Mortar is a ready to use, high temperature soft mortar patching compound. It is used in the repair of virtually any refractory material such as mortar, bricks, castables, ladles, or any other refractory shape. StoveMate Mortar should be used when old mortar joints begin cracking and falling out as sparks and flame can reach behind the loose mortar and create a fire hazard. StoveMate Mortar’s excellent resistance to temperature and corrosive conditions is proven by its use on steel mill stopper rods. In this application the mortar seals between insulation sleeves over the stopper rod, which is immersed in molten steel for extended periods of time.
