Steel Seal at IGS Industries

Steel Seal is a dense, highly filled sealant which offers a unique combination of properties. It has excellent resistance to heat and chemical degradation and has high mechanical strength and pressure resistance. Steel Seal is ideal for online leak repairs as it contains steel fibers which provide a “damming” action to plug the leak. Sealant is applied using a spatula or is injectable and once the leak stops, sealant will need to be cured with heat.

Typical Applications

  • Online repair of leaking high pressure equipment
  • Sealant for rough or damaged joints

  • Sealant for hot joints (where good heat transfer across the joint is needed)
